Alameda waltzed into their matchup on Saturday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They claimed a resounding 82-55 win over the Encinal Jets. Given the Hornets' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 127th, while the Jets are ranked 636th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Alameda's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-6. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 77.0 points over those games. As for Encinal, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-12.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Alameda will take on Piedmont at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Piedmont has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Encinal, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Mt. Eden at 8:00 p.m. Mt. Eden will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Encinal surely won't give up without a fight.
