Episcopal and
Houston Christian are tied atop the standings of Southwest Prep - South, leaving first place open for the taking.
St. John's outpaced the rest of the league this week, as its three total wins led the league. The Mavericks beat
Angleton 7-3,
St. Thomas Catholic 4-1 and
Lutheran South 12-10.
St. John's' pitching staff had a strong showing this week, allowing only three hits and four walks, both of which led the league.
