After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Garden City, Seaholm was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They came out on top against the Mott Corsairs by a score of 7-4. The Maples haven't had any issues with the Corsairs recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Patrick Hughes made a splash no matter where he played. He pitched two innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Hughes was also big at the plate, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with one run and one RBI.

In other pitching news, Aaron Vandemark tossed a big game, pitching five innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits.

Back at the plate, Cobie Early was excellent, going 2-for-4 with four RBI and two doubles. Another player making a difference was Ryan Pfeiffer, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Seaholm's victory bumped their record up to 20-5. As for Mott, they dropped their record down to 3-29 with the loss, which was their 26th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Seaholm will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Corsairs: the pair will be back at it again later today.
