            Flag Football Preview: Olympian Eagles vs. Mater Dei Catholic Crusaders        
        
		
        
        
            The Olympian Eagles are taking a road trip to  square off against the Mater Dei Catholic Crusaders  at 5:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many  points in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.
Having struggled with three  defeats in a row, Olympian  turned things around against Otay Ranch  on Tuesday. They secured  a  12-6 W over the Mustangs. The game was the first time the Eagles have beaten the Mustangs on their field since September 26, 2023.
 Olympian didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of  Mya Vasquez and  Elianna Martin.
 Despite a strong season so far, Mater Dei Catholic has seen their luck take a bit of a downturn recently. They were six  points away from ending the streak, but they lost  a   12-6 heartbreaker at the hands of Eastlake. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Crusaders came into the  contest with a sizable advantage  in MaxPreps' California flag football rankings (they are ranked 180th, while the Titans are ranked 466th).
 Mater Dei Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 11-3. As for Olympian, their  victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 4-11.
 Olympian suffered a grim  26-6 defeat to Mater Dei Catholic  in their previous meeting  back in September. Can the Eagles avenge their  defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
