Baseball Recap: White County Warriors vs. Stone Memorial Panthers

White County lost to Stone Memorial on Monday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Warriors fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 5-4. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Austin Pionke put in work no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out seven over five innings pitched. Furthermore, he didn't allow a single walk, the first time he has blanked an opponent over his last three contests. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two doubles and one RBI.

In other batting news, Cole Gentry made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.

White County's defeat dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Stone Memorial, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-12.
