Football Recap: Morton Comes Up Short

Friday just wasn't the day for Morton's offense. They took a blow against the Raleigh Lions on Friday, falling 36-0. Having soared to a lofty 43 points in the game before, the Panthers' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Jaylin Stowers threw for 109 yards on nine of 18 attempts. Dolph Mcdonald was his top target, picking up 93 receiving yards.

Morton now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Raleigh, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-1.

Looking ahead, Morton will face off against Richland at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The game will give the Panthers their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Raleigh, they are taking a road trip to challenge McLaurin at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Lions will be up against the Tigers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 35.4 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
