Basketball Recap: Lewiston Takes a Loss

Lewiston played a tough game on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They lost 57-35 to the Sandpoint Bulldogs. The loss continues a trend for the Bengals in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now lost six in a row.

Sandpoint's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brecken Mire, who went 6 for 12 on her way to 16 points along with six rebounds and three steals. Mire's evening made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Jordyn Tomco, who went 5 of 11 en route to 16 points.

Lewiston's defeat dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Sandpoint, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-10.

Lewiston has already played their next contest, a 40-31 victory against Moscow on the 28th. As for Sandpoint, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 54-37 win against Lake City on the 28th.
