Volleyball Recap: Sterling Tigers vs. Centauri Falcons
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Sterling had no problem doing just that on Friday. Everything went their way against the Centauri Falcons as they made off with a 3-0 win. This was payback for the Tigers, who suffered a 3-0 defeat the last time these two teams met.
The final score came out to 25-20, 25-20, 25-16.
Addison Wright paced Sterling's offense, picking up nine kills. Wright got some help from
Shayleigh Ulrich and her 24 assists. Ulrich also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with
Tyla Thomas, racking up three apiece.
Sterling has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 23-6 record this season. As for Centauri, their loss dropped their record down to 12-17.
Sterling didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-1 defeat against Platte Valley on the 16th. Centauri does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
