Red Oak had won seven straight home games  and  Maleah Ellis did her part to make it eight on Tuesday. The Hawks blew past the Midlothian Heritage Jaguars 3-0 for which the team can thank  Ellis, who  had 15  digs and two  aces. She has been hot, having also posted 13 or more  assists the last seven times she's  played.
 Red Oak never let Midlothian Heritage on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 25-17,  25-21.
Red Oak's victory bumped their record up to 28-10. As for Midlothian Heritage,  with the  loss, they broke their three-match winning streak and moved their record to 13-23.
 We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Red Oak will  challenge  rival Corsicana  at 5:30  p.m.  on Friday. Meanwhile, Midlothian Heritage is set to  square off against  their familiar foe Crandall  at 5:30  p.m.  on Friday.
