Baseball Recap: St. Johns Comes Up Short

St. Johns's last matchup with Round Valley could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's matchup on Friday. The Redskins lost 10-4 to the Elks. The Redskins haven't had much luck with the Elks recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

St. Johns saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Everett McFee, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI.

St. Johns' defeat dropped their record down to 12-12-1. As for Round Valley, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 15-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. Johns will head out to face off against Greyhills Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Redskins are facing the Knights at the right time seeing as the Knights are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Round Valley, they are taking a road trip to take on Northland Prep Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Elks' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Spartans have averaged an impressive 9.3 runs per game this season.
