Softball Recap: Madawaska Takes a Loss

Madawaska was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Wisdom Pioneers, falling 20-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Owls of the 25-3 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Madawaska's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Wisdom, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-1.

Coming up, Madawaska will take on Washburn at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Beavers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 16 runs per game on average), something the Owls will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Wisdom, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 10-8 defeat against Hodgdon on the 14th.
