Volleyball Recap: Franklin Road Academy's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Tuesday

After a string of 17 wins, Franklin Road Academy's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Middle Tennessee Christian Cougars by a score of 3-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cougars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-2 back in August.

Franklin Road Academy started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 20-25, 21-25, 25-22, 25-20, 15-13.

Savannah Sullivan and Cheyann Franklin certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Sullivan had 26 digs and two aces, while Franklin had 20 digs and two aces. Franklin has been hot recently, having posted two or more aces the last three times she's played.

Franklin Road Academy's loss dropped their record down to 18-4. As for Middle Tennessee Christian, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 28-3.

As of now, neither Franklin Road Academy nor the Cougars have any future games scheduled.
