Basketball Recap: Joah Brown Key Part of a Team Effort in Elks Win

Round Valley posted their biggest win since December 12, 2024 on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Many Farms Lobos with a sharp 66-44 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Elks.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Round Valley to victory, but perhaps none more so than Joah Brown, who almost dropped a double-double on 16 points and nine rebounds. Those 16 points gave Brown a new career-high. Wyatt Reed was another key player, putting up 15 points and three steals.

Round Valley was working as a unit and finished the game with 11 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Round Valley has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-19 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.5 points per game. As for Many Farms, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-12.

Round Valley will face off against St. Johns at 7:00 p.m. on February 4th. As for Many Farms, they will challenge BASIS Flagstaff at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. BASIS Flagstaff is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 55.2 points per game this season.
