Softball Recap: Helena Takes a Loss

Helena was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against the Thompson Warriors, falling 9-1. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, with their most recent loss being a 7-1 defeat back in March.

Helena saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lily Abernathy, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Helena's loss dropped their record down to 19-12-2. As for Thompson, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 30-3.

Helena wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 4-3 win against Auburn on the 12th. As for Thompson, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 4-0 victory against Orange Beach on the 12th.
