Baseball Game Preview: Pinnacle Classical Academy Eagles vs. The Master's Academy Lions

Pinnacle Classical Academy has won three straight games at home, while The Master's Academy has won three straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Monday. The Eagles will host the Lions at 6:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Pinnacle Classical Academy's usually-dominant pitching crew will be looking to make up for Wednesday's struggle, when Lincolnton hitters got past them. The Eagles came out on top in a nail-biter against the Wolves on Wednesday, sneaking past 12-10.

Pinnacle Classical Academy got a massive performance out of Jake McNeily, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Caleb Yates, who got on base in two of his three plate appearances with two stolen bases and three runs.

Meanwhile, The Master's Academy got the win against Bob Jones Academy on Tuesday by a conclusive 10-3. The result was nothing new for the Lions, who have now won 11 matches by six runs or more so far this season.

The Master's Academy has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-2 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games. As for Pinnacle Classical Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 9-2.

Everything went Pinnacle Classical Academy's way against The Master's Academy in their previous meeting back in March, as Pinnacle Classical Academy made off with an 11-2 win. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Lions have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
