 Gardena was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight  loss. They fell victim to a  rough 16-3 defeat at the hands of the Carson Colts. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Gardena of the  14-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture  last Monday.
 Gardena saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Jesse Aguayo, who  scored a  run while going 1-for-2.
 On Carson's side,  Anthony Dorado looked comfortable as he  tossed two innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits.
 At the plate, Carson let  Dylan Mares and  Noah Gomez loose on the outfield. Mares  got on base  in all three of his plate appearances with a  home run, three  RBI,  and two  runs, while  Gomez  went 3-for-3 with three  runs, a  triple,  and two  RBI. Gomez is trending in the right direction, as he's  improved his point production for three straight games.  Aiden Brasher was another key contributor,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while going 2-for-2.
 Gardena's defeat dropped their record down to 4-16. As for Carson, the  victory was  the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-7.
 Gardena didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next  game,  an  8-7  win vs. Canoga Park on the 20th. Carson has also already played their next match,  a  5-0  victory against Kennedy on the 20th.
