Volleyball Game Preview: McKeel Academy Wildcats vs. Newberry Panthers

The McKeel Academy Wildcats will take on the Newberry Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are strolling into their matchups after big wins in their previous games.

McKeel Academy is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They put the hurt on Windermere Prep with a sharp 3-0 win. The victory was nothing new for the Wildcats as they're now sitting on four straight.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead McKeel Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Presley Johnson, who had 15 digs and ten aces. Johnson is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last ten games she's played. Another player making a difference was Hope Ring, who had four aces and one assist.

They weren't the only good servers: McKeel Academy was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 15 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in September.

Meanwhile, Newberry got the win against Keystone Heights on Thursday by a conclusive 3-0. The win continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Indians: they've now won four in a row.

McKeel Academy's victory bumped their record up to 16-8. As for Newberry, their win bumped their record up to 19-8.
