Basketball Game Preview: William Byrd Terriers vs. Christiansburg Blue Demons + How To Watch

William Byrd is 1-9 against Christiansburg since January of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Terriers will be home for the holidays to greet the Blue Demons at 7:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

William Byrd took a loss when they played away from home two weeks ago, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They really took it to Cave Spring for the full four quarters, racking up a 64-31 victory. With the Terriers ahead 36-7 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.

William Byrd's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Logan Andrews, who went 6-for-11 en route to 19 points along with six steals and five assists. Another player making a difference was Skye Williams, who almost dropped a double-double with 12 points and nine rebounds.

Meanwhile, Christiansburg came up short against Abingdon last Saturday and fell 64-55. The Blue Demons have struggled against the Falcons recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Things could have been worse for William Byrd, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 55-38 loss to Christiansburg in their previous matchup back in December of 2024. Can the Terriers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
