Softball Recap: Cedar Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Victory

Cedar entered their tilt with Green Canyon on Saturday with three consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with four. Everything went their way against the Green Canyon Wolves as they made off with an 8-2 win. The Reds might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by six runs or more this season.

Shaylee Johnson was a standout: she scored a run while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in doubles (two). Kaitlin Bulloch was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.

Cedar was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .414. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Cedar's record is now 4-2. As for Green Canyon, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Looking ahead, Cedar will challenge Cyprus at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Green Canyon, they will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Mountain Crest at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
