Volleyball Recap: Gale-Ettrick-Trempealeau Starts Season with Loss on the Road

Gale-Ettrick-Trempealeau kicked off their season on the road on Wednesday and hit a couple of potholes. They fell 2-0 to the Green Bay Preble Hornets. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it seven in a row.

While Gale-Ettrick-Trempealeau had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 18 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-20.

Amara Brantner paced Gale-Ettrick-Trempealeau's offense, picking up five kills. Brantner got some help from Amelia Walz and her five assists. Taryn Leighty controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

The victory got Green Bay Preble back to even at 1-1.

Gale-Ettrick-Trempealeau didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Wabeno/Laona on the 27th. As for Green Bay Preble, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Cuba City on the 27th.
