Volleyball Game Preview: Sweeny Bulldogs vs. Brazosport Exporters

Sweeny has gone 8-2 against Brazosport recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Bulldogs will venture away from home to take on the Exporters at 4:30 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Tuesday, Sweeny got the win against Bay City by a conclusive 3-0. The Bulldogs haven't had any issues with the Blackcats recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

While Sweeny won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-22, 25-19.

Meanwhile, Brazosport hadn't done well against Columbia recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Exporters came out on top against the Roughnecks by a score of 3-1.

Brazosport had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 19-25, 25-23, 25-13, 25-23.

Sweeny's victory bumped their record up to 26-8. As for Brazosport, the win got them back to even at 11-11.

Sweeny took their victory against Brazosport in their previous meeting back in September by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bulldogs since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
