Adding to the longest winning streak in Academic this week, Galileo beat Balboa 56-34. This was the team's ninth consecutive win.
Mission scaled the state rankings by moving to 760 from 789 this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Bears climbed the ranks as a result of defeating Lowell 48-22.
Lincoln's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. On the ground Tyree Marzetta contributed 104 yards.
Marzetta provided a threat through the air and on the ground as the Mustangs topped Marshall.
Davion Telfor was the best receiver in the league this week as Lincoln topped the Phoenix. Telfor racked up 1 reception for 14 yards.
Galileo's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Lions feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Kyle Nelson has thrown for 2,106 yards and 31 touchdowns this season, while Dontell Jackson has 46 catches for 769 yards.
Phil Ferrigno's team's Marzetta is a mere 20 yards away from breaking the 1,000-rushing-yards mark for the season. Marzetta has rushed for 980 yards on 112 carries so far this year.
At the moment, the Cardinals are in third, while Galileo is in first.
