Albany is a perfect 3-0 against Winters since October of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Lions will welcome the Blizzards at 7:00 p.m. Albany is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 27.5 points per game this season.

Albany's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They blew past Miles 48-0. The victory continues a trend for the Lions in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now won seven in a row.

Albany found their leader in sophomore Clay Chapman, who threw for 204 yards and three touchdowns while completing 77.3% of his passes, and also rushed for 88 yards. Calhan Fairchild was Chapman's top target, picking up 58 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

Albany didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Woods Peterson and Jaxson Street.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Winters' offense. They were dealt a 49-0 defeat at the hands of Hamlin on Friday. The Blizzards have struggled against the Pied Pipers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Winters' loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Albany, their win bumped their record up to 4-2.

Everything came up roses for Albany against Winters in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 68-0 victory. Will the Lions repeat their success, or do the Blizzards have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
