Athenian is 9-1 against College Prep since January of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Athenian Owls will challenge the College Prep Cougars at 7:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Friday, Athenian came up short against Head-Royce and fell 58-51. The Owls have struggled against the Jayhawks recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, College Prep was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 69-60 to St. Joseph Notre Dame. While losing is never fun, the Cougars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 535th, while the Pilots are ranked 187th).

College Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 11-8. As for Athenian, their loss dropped their record down to 9-8.

Athenian took their victory against College Prep in their previous matchup last Friday by a conclusive 62-42. The rematch might be a little tougher for Athenian since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
