Volleyball Game Preview: Maroa-Forsyth Trojans vs. Athens Warriors

The Maroa-Forsyth Trojans are taking a road trip to take on the Athens Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Maroa-Forsyth will be looking to extend their current 12-game winning streak.

On Monday, Maroa-Forsyth beat Argenta-Oreana 2-0.

Maroa-Forsyth easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-18.

Meanwhile, after a string of ten wins, Athens' good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They fell 2-0 to Pleasant Plains.

While Athens was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-22.

Maroa-Forsyth's win bumped their record up to 16-6. As for Athens, their loss dropped their record down to 18-4.

Maroa-Forsyth couldn't quite get it done against Athens in their previous meeting back in October of 2024 as they fell 2-0. Can the Trojans avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
