Volleyball Recap: McLane Comes Up Short + How To Watch

McLane lost against Torres back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Highlanders lost 3-0 to the Toros.

While McLane ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 17 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-17, 25-21.

Torres can attribute much of their success to Gianna Gonzalez, who had six aces and five digs. That's the most aces Gonzalez has posted since back in August. Noelia Calvillo also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

McLane has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-18 record this season. As for Torres, they pushed their record up to 11-9 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. McLane will square off against rival Roosevelt at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Torres is set to challenge their familiar foe Madera South at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
