Holy Cross is a perfect 9-0 against Ansonia since April of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Crusaders will be playing at home against the Chargers at 3:30 p.m. Holy Cross' pitching crew has only allowed 3.5 runs per game this season, so Ansonia's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

On Wednesday, Holy Cross needed a bit of extra time to put away Wolcott. They walked away with a 4-1 win over the Eagles.

Meanwhile, Ansonia fell victim to St. Paul Catholic and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They lost 13-0 to the Falcons. Surprisingly, this marked the Chargers' fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Ansonia dropped their record down to 1-4 with the loss, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Holy Cross, their victory bumped their record up to 5-3.

Holy Cross took their win against Ansonia when the teams last played back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 18-6 score. Will the Crusaders repeat their success, or do the Chargers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
