Basketball Recap: Langley Takes a Loss

Langley lost against Yorktown back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Langley Saxons took a 72-59 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Yorktown Patriots. While losing is never fun, the Saxons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 184th, while the Patriots are ranked 16th).

Langley's loss dropped their record down to 6-12. As for Yorktown, their victory bumped their record up to 16-2.

Langley will challenge Colonial Forge at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Colonial Forge will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Langley surely won't give up without a fight. As for Yorktown, they will square off against McLean at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. McLean is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53.2 points per game this season.
