Volleyball Recap: Cincinnati Christian Starts Season with Victory on the Road

Cincinnati Christian had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They blew past the Middletown Christian Eagles 3-0. The victory continues a trend for the Cougars in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won five in a row.

One reason for the win was Cincinnati Christian's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-14, 25-6.

Among those leading the charge was Lydia Vogelgesang, who had six digs and four aces. That's the most aces she has posted since back in October of 2024.

Coincidentally, Cincinnati Christian and Middletown Christian will both be playing Cincinnati Country Day the next time they take the court. The Eagles will head out to face the Nighthawks at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, while the Cougars will head out to face them at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
