It was a good run, but Evangel Christian unfortunately witnessed the end of their 15-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell 5-2 to the Lakeside School Chiefs. The Lightning were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Chiefs apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

Evangel Christian saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was ASHER EVANS, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and one double.

Evangel Christian suffered their first road loss, dropping their record down to 24-2. As for Lakeside School, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 18 of their last 19 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 46-4 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Lakeside School beat Evangel Christian by a score of 1-0 later that day.
