15 must be Magee's lucky number: they beat McLaurin with that score not once but twice on Tuesday. The Trojans beat the Tigers by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 15-9. Carson Drake was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. She is on a roll when it comes to hits, as she's now got three or more in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Zylynda Funches, who went 2-for-4 with four stolen bases, two runs, and one double.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Magee kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 18 hits. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
The victory was the third in a row for Magee, bringing their record up to 5-3. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 17.3 runs over those games. As for McLaurin, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-8.
