Central typically has all the answers at home, but on Monday Marion proved too difficult a challenge. They were the clear victors by a 13-5 margin over the Tigers. The result was nothing new for the Wildcats, who have now won nine matches by six runs or more so far this season.

Marion is on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 16 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Central, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 14-12 record this season.

Marion will head out to face off against Centralia at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Central, they will host Ste. Genevieve at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
