Soccer Game Preview: Liberty vs. Corona del Sol

The Liberty Lions will face off against the Corona del Sol Aztecs at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Liberty's last four games have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Liberty is headed into Tuesday's following a draw, the team's first since December 27. Neither they nor Shadow Ridge could gain the upper hand on Friday so the two teams had to settle for a 4-4 draw. Considering the Lions' offense had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Meanwhile, after low-scoring totals in their previous three contests, Corona del Sol brought some dynamite into their most recent contest. Their defense stepped up to hand Sunnyslope a 5-0 shutout on Wednesday. The win was some much needed relief for the Aztecs as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Corona del Sol's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-3-2. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those four matches. Liberty's draw makes their record 8-6-2 this season.
