            Baseball Recap: St. Marys Flying Dutch vs. Clarion-Limestone Lions        
        
		
        
        
            St. Marys won the last time they faced Clarion-Limestone and things went their way  on Friday too. The Flying Dutch came out on top against the Lions by a score of  10-6. The  victory made it back-to-back  wins for the Flying Dutch.

 Mason Nicklas made a splash no matter where he played. He  struck out six batters over  2.1 innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits (and only one walk). Those  six  strikeouts gave  him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate,  going 2-for-4 with one  home run, three  RBI,  and one  double. That  home run marked the first that  he has  launched this season.
 In other batting news,  Ben Reynolds was  excellent,  going 2-for-3 with two  runs and one  stolen base. He is becoming a predictor of St. Marys' success: when he posts  at  least two  runs the team is 4-1 (and 5-7 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of  Louie Nedzinski, who  went 1-for-3 with one  run and one  RBI.
 St. Marys was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .419. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Clarion-Limestone only posted a  batting average of  .192.
St. Marys now  has a winning record of 9-8. As for Clarion-Limestone, they moved to 5-9 with that  loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.
 St. Marys has already played their next match,  a  13-4  victory against Bradford on the 12th. As for Clarion-Limestone, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next  game,  a  4-3  defeat against Keystone on the 12th.
