Football Game Preview: Ripley Tigers vs. Westview Chargers

Ripley is 0-4 against Westview since October of 2021 but things could change on Friday. The Tigers will take on the Chargers at 7:00 p.m. Ripley has given up an average of 39.7 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Ripley's offense might be in the hot seat on Friday considering what happened against Covington on Friday. They were outmatched by the Chargers and fell 58-0. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee football rankings (they are ranked 307th, while the Chargers are ranked 71st).

Meanwhile, on Friday Westview's undefeated season almost came to an end. They skirted past Lausanne Collegiate 37-34.

Westview's win bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Ripley, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-6.

Ripley was taken down by Westview 49-0 in their previous matchup back in September of 2024. Can the Tigers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
