St. Francis entered their tilt with Cedar Grove on Saturday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. They skirted past the Saints 58-56. For the Knights, this counts as revenge for the 69-53 win the Saints walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2022.

Cedar Grove lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Emanuel Green, who posted 20 points. The contest was his fourth in a row with at least 20 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaimarion Mathis, who had 13 points.

St. Francis' victory bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Cedar Grove, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 4-4 record.

St. Francis and Athens Christian will compete for holiday cheer at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Cedar Grove will take on Chicago Marshall in a holiday battle at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. The Saints will be up against the Commandos' rather soft defense (which has allowed 55.5 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
