Cherokee had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt Swain County on Tuesday. The Braves were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Maroon Devils. The victory was familiar territory for the Braves, who have now won five matchups in a row.

Cherokee was especially dominant in the third set. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-20, 25-8.

Joscelyn Stamper paced Cherokee's offense, picking up 13 kills. Stamper got some help from Kennedy Moore and her 18 assists. Lilly Lossiah controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Cherokee's record now sits at 18-8. As for Swain County, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-8 record this season.

Cherokee has already played their next contest, a 3-1 win against Hayesville on the 25th. As for Swain County, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-2 victory against Rosman on the 25th.
