Baseball Recap: Tri-City Takes a Loss

Athens hit Tri-City with a 12-run fifth inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Tornadoes came up short against the Warriors, falling 16-6. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Tornadoes of the 14-8 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Tri-City's defeat dropped their record down to 5-18. As for Athens, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-10.

Coming up, Tri-City will take on Unity Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Athens does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
