McCutcheon  took care of business in their home opener  (and then some) on Tuesday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Lafayette Jefferson Bronchos  an   11-0 shutout. That's more bragging rights for the Mavericks, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.
 Kacie Nading was a standout: she scored a  run while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance also gave  her a new career-high in  RBI (three).  Aubrey Miller was another key player,  scoring two  runs and  stealing three bases while going 1-for-2.
 McCutcheon was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .455. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lafayette Jefferson only posted a  batting average of  .067.
Lafayette Jefferson dropped their record down to 1-1 with the  defeat, which was their sixth straight  on the road dating back to last season.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. McCutcheon will venture away from home to  square off against Danville  at 5:30  p.m.  on Thursday. As for Lafayette Jefferson, they will take on Western Boone at 5:30  p.m.  on Wednesday.
