Volleyball Recap: Ripon Christian Gets the Win

Ripon Christian's tournament run continued when they took on Fortuna on Saturday. The Knights came out on top against the Huskies by a score of 2-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Knights.

Their offense was headlined by Paige Van Hofwegen and Annika Jung, who picked up five kills apiece. They got some help from Alanna Blanco and her 12 assists. She was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Ripon Christian's victory bumped their record up to 17-8. As for Fortuna, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 13 of their last 14 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-18 record this season.

Ripon Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 win against West Valley on the 18th. As for Fortuna, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Heritage on the 18th.
