Soccer Recap: Liberty Comes Up Short

Liberty was the 3-0 winner over Rustburg when they last played one another back in April, but their luck changed this time around. The Minuteman fell just short of the Red Devils by a score of 2-1 on Tuesday. Liberty have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Their goal came courtesy of Riddik Tice, who's now up to 13 this season.

Liberty's loss dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Rustburg, their record now sits at 4-7-1.

Looking ahead, Liberty is taking a road trip to take on Brookville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Rustburg, they will be playing at home against Liberty Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Rustburg's defense better be ready for this one: Liberty Christian have averaged an impressive 2.6 goals per game this season.
