Soccer Recap: Antioch Comes Up Short

Antioch was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They lost 7-2 to the Badger Badgers. While losing is never fun, Antioch can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' soccer rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 391st in Illinois, while Badger are ranked 53rd in Wisconsin).

Antioch's defeat dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Badger, they pushed their record up to 11-4-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Antioch will host Kenosha Bradford at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Badger, they will look to defend their home pitch on Tuesday against Waterford at 6:30 p.m.
