Baseball Recap: Penn Hills Comes Up Short

Penn Hills was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Franklin Regional Panthers, falling 18-3. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Indians of the 11-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

Penn Hills saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Anthony Sipple, who scored a run while going 2-for-2. The dominant performance also gave Sipple a new career-high in doubles (two).

Penn Hills' loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Franklin Regional, their victory bumped their record up to 4-1.

While Penn Hills had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
