Baseball Game Preview: River Road Wildcats vs. Bushland Falcons

River Road is 0-10 against Bushland since March of 2021 but things could change on Monday. The Wildcats will challenge the Falcons at 4:30 p.m.

River Road is headed into Monday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 11th straight game on Friday. They lost 8-2 to Dalhart.

Meanwhile, Bushland made easy work of Tulia on Friday and carried off a 14-1 win. The Falcons might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine contests by seven runs or more this season.

Bushland got a massive performance out of Colton Reynolds, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Those three hits gave Reynolds a new career-high. Colton Strickland was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Bushland always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .600. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Tulia only posted an OBP of .286.

Bushland has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-11 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.4 runs over those games. As for River Road, their loss dropped their record down to 4-15.

River Road might still be hurting after the 34-2 defeat they got from Bushland in their previous meeting two weeks ago. Can the Wildcats avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
