Basketball Recap: Peach County Comes Up Short

After flying high against Cairo on Friday, Peach County came back down to earth. The Peach County Trojans took a hard 57-38 fall against the Westover Patriots on Saturday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Trojans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 43-38 back in January.

Westover found their leader in sophomore Sydney Donaldson, who posted 23 points in addition to six assists and six boards. Donaldson is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last seven games she's played. Chasity Green was another key player, putting up nine points and four steals.

Peach County has traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-16 record this season. As for Westover, they pushed their record up to 11-8 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

As of now, neither Peach County nor Westover have any future games scheduled.
