Softball Recap: Sierra Canyon Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Sierra Canyon can now relate to. They fell just short of the Foothill Knights by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. Having soared to a lofty 14 runs in the game before, the Trailblazers couldn't push the score so high this time.

With the defeat, Sierra Canyon broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 12-10. As for Foothill, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-14 record this season.

Sierra Canyon does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Foothill, they will square off against Harvard-Westlake at 3:15 p.m. on Saturday. The timing is sure in the Knights' favor as the team sits on three straight wins at home while the Wolverines have been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.
