Volleyball Recap: Providence Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Providence lost against Ardrey Kell back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Panthers came up short against the Knights, falling 3-0.

The final score came out to 25-14, 25-16, 25-13.

Despite the defeat, Providence saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Josie Swartz had ten digs and two assists.

Providence has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season. As for Ardrey Kell, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-7 record this season.

Providence and Ardrey Kell could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings. The Panthers will square off against Myers Park at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank disadvantage (328 vs. 87). Meanwhile, Ardrey Kell (ranked 78th) will meet Marvin Ridge (ranked fourth) at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
