Basketball Recap: Port St. Joe Tiger Sharks vs. Covenant Christian
Port St. Joe came tearing into Monday's contest with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 21.8 points) and they left with even more momentum. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Covenant Christian 67-20. Given the Tiger Sharks' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 235th, while Covenant Christian are ranked 730th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Port St. Joe found their leader in freshman Mase Larry, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and ten rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Larry has scored all season. Elijah Robinson was another key player, going 7 for 11 on his way to 16 points in addition to seven rebounds and three steals.
Port St. Joe's victory was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-1. As for Covenant Christian, they are on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-8.
Port St. Joe and Niceville will compete for holiday cheer at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
