It's playoff time, and Eaglecrest had no trouble coming through when it counted. They came out on top against the Mountain Vista Golden Eagles by a score of 79-69 on Thursday. Winning may never get old, but the Raptors sure are getting used to it with their 18th in a row.

Leading Eaglecrest to victory were Ant Nettles and Kris Coleman. Nettles shot 42% from the field en route to 25 points, while Coleman went 7-for-12 on his way to 17 points in addition to six assists and three steals. The match was Nettles' fourth in a row with at least 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Lucas Kalimba, who posted 11 points and seven boards.

Eaglecrest smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive boards. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their offensive rebound total in three consecutive games.

Mountain Vista lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Oliver Junker, who dropped a double-double with 16 points and 17 rebounds. He is on a roll when it comes to boards, as he's now pulled down eight or more in each of the last six games he's played. Cal Baskind was another key player, putting up 19 points.

Eaglecrest's win bumped their record up to 25-2. As for Mountain Vista, the defeat snapped their winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 21-6 record.

Eaglecrest has already played their next contest, a 65-63 victory against Valor Christian on the 15th. Mountain Vista does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
