After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Aldine, Houston Math Science & Tech was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They put the hurt on the Eisenhower Eagles with a sharp 13-3 win. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Tigers considering their one-run performance the game before.
Houston Math Science & Tech let Jaden Gonzalez and Isaac Martinez loose on the outfield. Gonzalez scored a run while going 1-for-2, while Martinez scored two runs while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. The dominant performance also gave Gonzalez a new career-high in RBI (two). Rafael Rivera was another key player, scoring two runs.
The victory got Houston Math Science & Tech back to even at 1-1. As for Eisenhower, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 1-1.
